CHARGES: Rs 2000/- (Including Passport office charges). Applicant has to clear
the police report from his nearest police station within 1 month from the date
of submission for the same he should carry all original documents, 2 photos
and 2 sets of Photo copies which you have submitted to the passport office.
[02] Renewal of Passport
(After 10 years)
(Documents Required) All originals + 2 sets of photocopies each

While applying for fresh passport, new passport form to be filled in capital letter with
full initial with photographs should be pasted on appropriate place & sign by
Father & Mother both across the photo Half on the form & Half on the photo but
it should not go on the face.

[06] Emigration Check Not
Required (ECNR) Stamp
Following persons are entitled to get the
ECNR stamp on their passports:
- Gazetted Government Servants
- Income-tax payees
- Persons holding professional degrees
- Persons staying abroad for more than 3 years
- Spouses of the above mentioned type of persons
- Persons holding graduation or higher degrees
- Seamen in possession of Continuous Discharge Certificate and Sea Cadets
-
(a) who have passed final examination of three year B.Sc. or
(b) who have undergone three months Pre-Sea training at any of the
Government approved training institutes after production of identity cards
issued by an shipping master in Mumbai/Calcutta/Chennai
- Persons holding permanent immigration visas, of any country e.g. Green
Card
- Persons holding diplomas from recognized institutions like polytechnics
or of vocational training from government recognized institutions.
The Diploma Certificate should be for a minimum duration of two year course.
- Nurses possessing qualifications recognized under the Indian Nursing
Council, 1947.
- Dependent children of parents eligible for ECNR, as above (up to 24
years)
- All persons above the age of 60 years
- All visitors to Pakistan and Bangladesh
- All visitors going to any country in Europe (except the Commonwealth of
Independent States) or North America.
- All applicants are required personally at the time of submission and
collection of passport.
Note :If passport issued outside Maharashtra, attach
attested copy of proof of residence.
Emigration Clearance Rules
- Even if you do not have the ECNR stamp, you can visit Bangladesh,
Pakistan, countries in Europe
(except the Commonwealth of Independent States) and America without
emigration clearance.
- In any case, Protector of Emigrants can grant emigration clearance to
categories of skilled/semi-skilled
workers for a period of six months if application is made through
authorized recruiting agent and there is a valid employment visa.
- In case the person concerned is leaving the country for non-employment
purpose, he/she can obtain suspension
from emigration clearance for the specified country and from
specified period from Protector of Emigrants.
[07] Change of address
For the following cases:
If you already have a passport and want to change the address record, approach
your nearest passport office and apply for the same on Misc. Services
application form with a fee of INR 100 and proof of new address.
If you have applied for a passport, but before the same is issued, you have a
new residence, you should inform in writing to the passport office providing
your new address details. To request the transfer of your file to the new
passport office, a written notice is to be given that you have submitted an
application of the passport at the other passport office (with application
numbers etc.), with the new address. No fee required to be paid in this case.
[08] Damaged or Lost

[09] Passport For Minors
It is compulsory to have a separate passport for minor. A number of foreign
diplomatic missions are refusing to grant visas if minors' name is included in
the parents' passport. Apply for fresh passport with the following additional
documents:-
Attested photocopies of parents' passports. If neither of the parents has
passport, then an affidavit from both parents (specimen at Annexure 'D' of the
passport form) is required.
In case either of the parents holds a passport, copy of the same, along with
affidavit from the other (specimen at Annexure 'D' of the passport form) is
required. At column 22, affix the minor's signature or thumb impression.
In case the parents are abroad, an affidavit giving No Objection to the issue of
passport to the minor should be counter-assigned by Indian Mission / Consulate
abroad. If both parents have passports then it is mandatory to have spouses'
name on each other's passport.
Fresh Passport form with 7 photographs
Date of Birth proof : (Attested copy of CBSE X th Std. Certificate)
Attested copy of first five & last five pages of parents' passports. In the
mother's passport, father's name should be mentioned and in father's passport
mother's name should be mentioned.
Proof of residence (Attested copy)
Thumb impression of minor.
[10] Delivery of Passports
- Passports are normally delivered only to
the applicant or dispatched by registered post to the applicant's present
address
as given in the application form.
- In case a passport has already been granted, it can be delivered at the
counter.
[11] Expired
Passport
(a.) Form No 1 (fresh form) duly fill with 7 coloured photographs
(b.) Attested copy of first and last 2 pages of the passport, with all visas,
either valid or expired.
(c.) Attested copy of proof of residence.
(d.) Personal presence of applicant is required.
If you are holder of a passport, then you are entitled to an automatic re-issue
of passport, without prior police verification. You can apply 1 year before the
passport expires to obtain this expeditious service.

the previous passport. (verification certificate or any other document is not
required).
Options in terms of validity and size of the booklet:
You can either apply for a 36-paged normal passport booklet (Fees INR.1000 for
10 years) or a 60-paged jumbo passport booklet (Fees INR 1500 for 10 years). For
children below 15 years, INR 600 for a 36 page 5 year validity passport. The
passport fee is subject to revision so please check the amount at the time of
submission of application.
When applying for a Passport after 10 years (Renewal)
Old passport and self-attested photocopy of first four and last four pages of
the passport and all valid visas.
All documentation same as for fresh passport.

Change of name
In case of marriage, re-marriage or divorce.
Fresh application form
Certified marriage certificate or an affidavit from husband and wife (Annexure
application form), with joint photograph.
In case of divorce, divorce deed authenticated by a court.
In case of re-marriage, divorce deed or death certificate of spouse duly
certified.
In other Cases:
Fresh Passport form with 7 photographs
Attested copy of old passport
Local newspaper cutting in original in which the advertisement was flashed
stating the name change.
